As a single mother of a joyful and exuberant 6 year old daughter - Kaela and a sweet and lovable 2 year old son - Kai...every day is a challenge. A degree from Harvard and years of work experience in Children's Television Programming prepared me for the hard work of being a mom. It's a difficult job but truly the most rewarding and wonderful experience I wouldn't change for the world. I feel so lucky and blessed to have my children in my life.
If I know it is a day that I'll need to feel especially confident, brave or strong; or when I am having an especially down day - I'll always choose to wear one of my So Cool Mom T-shirts. I have short sleeve T-shirts and long sleeve T-shirts in almost every color. So many, that in my mind, I think of my So Cool Mom shirts as my "uniform" these days. Shhh, it's my little secret. I often wonder if my friends think that I don't own any other shirts any more!
Kaela loves the T-shirts, too. Is it because I wear mine with pride or because the name really gives you something to think about? Maybe a combination of it all - finding that balance. Some days, Kaela will ask to wear a So Cool Mom T-shirt under her school uniform just to feel connected to me.
I discovered So Cool Mom while watching my favorite show - Jon and Kate Plus 8. I saw Kate wearing a cute T-shirt and thought to myself, "I love that logo. I love that T-shirt. I wish I had a shirt just like Kate's." After doing some research on Jon and Kate's website, I discovered So Cool Mom. I love the So Cool Mom philosophy - live happy, love well. I think everyone should be reminded of this each and every day - embrace life. It is a blessing. I am blessed.

As a working mother of three, I know the precious nature of time. Each day is filled with exciting opportunities, challenges and responsibilities. Finding the appropriate “life balance” is a constant work in progress.
So Cool Mom reflects who I aspire to be…whether I’m heading off to work, chauffeuring our kids to soccer practice, getting dinner together, or coaching lacrosse - I am reminded to find the special moments of each day.
As a team, my husband Sean and I work together to ensure quality family-time with the kids and quiet moments for each other.

I always thought I would be a working mom totally absorbed in my career. However, after Robbie was born, I traded in corporate life for the opportunity to do freelance work from home.
My husband Jeff and I hoped to have a little brother or sister for a boy who would appreciate such a gift . We had almost given up hope, but after a long wait - we have a precious one on the way.

I had 3 sons in my previous marriage back east in Baltimore. I moved 3,000 miles west to Seattle, remarried 5 years ago and ten years after my youngest son had been born, my husband now and I had "our own" little boy and FINALLY... a daughter for me, who arrived just 20 months ago! 5 children for me and we have 9 altogether, ranging in ages from 26 to 1 year of age!
Being an older Mom this time around, I am so grateful for every second that I get to spend with the two little ones that are here with us full-time. As well as, with each and every one of my kids that are with us part-time. There's a lot of challenges with logistics and so forth with the older ones, having children in 3 different states in our blended family ie. Washington State, Oregon and Texas; however, with the help of God, we make it work!
I am beyond blessed by all of their lives!
"I can do everything through him who gives me strength." (Phil 4:13)

Law degree in hand, I was ready to take on the world. My high-powered career left no time for a husband, much less children.
Before I knew it, I was married to a man with 3 beautiful daughters and we quickly added 3 more children of our own. As a modern-day Carol Brady, I learned to park my type-A personality at the door and go with the flow.
Each day is a new adventure, and I feel blessed to be part of the ride.
